KakaZabu Week 2022

Event: KakaZabu Week 2022

Theme: Divergence– in another stream of time, Kakashi and Zabuza cross paths somewhere other than Wave.

Challenge: Write or draw something for the ship Momochi Zabuza/Hatake Kakashi, following this year’s theme– a meeting other than the the canon Wave Arc. This can include before Wave, after Wave, canon divergent AUs, crossovers or fusions.

Timeline: Posting will begin Sunday, 26 June, and last throughout the full week. You can post anytime until 2 July. There are no formal sign-ups, and you can start working on your fill at any time– you just cannot post.

Rules: This is the 5th year in a row we’ve done this ship week challenge, and the rules are very simple: Kakashi & Zabuza’s relationship should be the focal point of the submission. Use the following tag on ao3: Kakazabu Week 2022 and submit to the collection that will be linked. Use #kakazabuweek2022 on twitter, or #kakazabu week 2022 on tumblr.

Submissions should be a minimum of 1000 words or, for art, clean line art. All submission links will be posted & shared in the challenge area of my site, in order of rank. The Ao3 Collective is here. Following the Naruto aesthetic, the challenge fills will be classified as D, C, B, A, A+, S and SS ‘ranked’ ‘missions’ completed.

For written works:

SS rank: 20K+ words or more.
S rank: 15k+ words. 
A+ rank: 10k to 15k words
A rank: 7,500 to 10k words.
B rank: 5k to 7,500 words.
C rank: 3k to 5k words.
D rank: 1,000 to 3k words. 

For art:

A+ rank: 10+ page Doujin
A rank: Fully Colored Comic with 3+ panels
B rank: Full Color Image with Detailed Background
-or- 
Black and White Comic with 3+ panels & Background
C rank: Complete Art with Clean Colors & Shading
D rank: Clean Line Art

[Note– these stack; you can’t have a Fully Colored Comic without the backgrounds required by B rank, or a Full Color Image with Detailed Background without the Clean Line Art required by D-rank.]

Warnings & Allowed Content: Anything is allowed– yes, anything– so long as it is appropriately warned for. You must use the archive warnings on ao3 and, if posting elsewhere, warn for those common things. If you need clarification about what constitutes a common warning, reach out. Use common sense and common decency here.
