2023 in Review

The year is over! It… really doesn’t feel like it. It feels like very shortly I was deciding what fics to put up for Evil Author Day (Feb 15th) and it’s already almost February again! I haven’t written very much this year. Specifically, I spent last year (January 1st through March) writing hundreds of words a day for my 2023 Quantum Bang project, the first time I’ve written a novel in one ‘sitting’, the first time I’ve broken 50k, and the first time I’ve completed a 50k challenge. April 22 Updates

This month is April, and for the first time I’m confident enough to try Roughtrade— the writing challenge site by Keira Marcos and Jilly James, among others, where you do a themed version of NaNoWriMo (essentially). This year’s April challenge allowed for one 25k fic so, after double-triple-checking, I jumped on the chance. If you know me, you know I rarely have the golden time/spoons/motivation combo to accomplish a genuinely long fic, or a full-length novel of a fic (50k).
